Then its engine should displace 8 liter.

8.2 liters to be exact! My first car was a '71 El Dorado, that car was nuts.

The 500ci! Sounds like an awesome first car. Were you a leader?

Yup, 500 cubic inches and 18.5 feet of FWD Cadillac! 6-11 mpg when gas first hit $2/gal meant I had to get rid of it. Was I a leader? Probably not, but I was voted class clown.

ha sounds like a buddy of mine with his 76 Town Car, 460, green with mint green leather. Good lord could that thing turn fuel into pollution. He used to pull up and alternate between stomping on the gas and brakes so it would hop like it had hydaulics. Did a pretty damn good impression

Hah, very cool. Was this the pre-$2 gas period of the early 80s or 90s? Class clown counts as being a leader when you have an 8194cc Cadillac!

Man, I love Cadillacs.

Yeah, some of the last cars that carried the pre-war mentality towards cars on.

Caddy would be on top of the world if they'd developed the 8+6+4 engine.

Completely agree. The badge was a plus at the time, the cars were engineered and assembled half decently from (specifically the '77-'92 De Ville/Fleetwood/Brougham that had the 8-6-4), and they were still plain cool. It could have been a great technology and a massive advantage.

V18 isn't any more strange than I-5 right?
